General Privacy Policy for Applications & Services
Last updated: October 2026
This General Privacy Policy establishes the baseline privacy, data protection, and transparency standards across all software applications, browser extensions, command-line utilities, web applications, and developer tools developed and published by Prahlad Inala ("Developer", "we", "us"). Where a specific application has its own dedicated policy (such as a browser extension), the product-specific policy takes precedence on distinct technical details.
1. Core Philosophy: Privacy by Default
We believe the best way to safeguard user privacy is simply not to collect unnecessary data in the first place. Every application and tool is engineered under the principle of data minimization: we only process data strictly necessary to execute the user's explicit request.
2. Local-First Processing
Whenever technologically feasible, all data transformation, document parsing, calculation, and formatting are executed locally inside your device runtime (browser sandbox, Node environment, or local machine memory). Your files, code snippets, database records, and prompts never pass through remote intermediary servers unless you explicitly configure remote integrations.
3. Zero Sale or Commercialization of User Data
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade user information, device identifiers, browsing activity, or generated content to third-party advertisers, data aggregators, or brokers. We do not participate in behavioral ad exchanges or cross-site tracking ecosystems.
4. Network Requests & Telemetry
Our standalone applications do not silently send diagnostic telemetry or usage telemetry in the background. If an application supports optional crash reporting or anonymous analytics to diagnose system bugs, it will always provide an explicit disclosure and an easy opt-out mechanism.
5. Local Storage & Device Preferences
Applications may utilize native device storage (such as browser localStorage, IndexedDB, chrome.storage, or local configuration files) solely to save your customized preferences (e.g., active color themes, layout settings, keybindings, or bookmarks). This data remains strictly on your local hardware.
6. Third-Party Integrations & External APIs
When you choose to connect an application to third-party services (such as GitHub, OpenAI, Cloudflare, or cloud providers using your own API credentials), your credentials and data travel directly between your machine and that service's official endpoint. Please review the respective third party's privacy policy for their data handling terms.
7. User Control & Data Deletion
Because our applications operate locally, you maintain unilateral control over your data at all times. Uninstalling the software or clearing your browser's application storage permanently purges all cached states, saved preferences, and locally compiled documents.
8. Policy Evolution & Inquiries
As new applications and features are introduced, this policy may be updated to reflect current technical standards. For any questions, audits, or feedback regarding our privacy practices, reach out via prahladinala@gmail.com or via GitHub at github.com/PRAHLADINALA.
